I've just purchased an astounding new flavour of crisp, which I'm sure is going to catch on big time. Such ambition, such panache, such flare; it dares to tread the untamed borders of degustatory delight!

Yes, it's the potato-flavoured crisp!

Or, perhaps a little more accurately, Pomme Dauphinoise flavour crisps, so the added flavouring is more a blend of cream, garlic and cheese, but the first impression that hits the taste buds is definitely associated with potato - albeit poshly prepared potato.

This weirdness was brought to you courtesy of Tesco's "Finest" range.

Potato and Princess flavoured, surely? Crisps with a slith hint of pork scratching? :)

I avoided all mention of Princesses because I wasn't completely sure of my translation - I suspected based on the pronunciation that the root was Dauphine rather than Dauphin, but I wimped out and went for the original root of both.

Thankfully, there is no hint of pork scratching!
