The BBC used one of the photos I took at lunch time. It’s number 5 in the sequence.

Kudos! We've just been looking at those in the office!

Thanks! There's not much especially photoworthy within walking distance, but I know the monument makes a good picture - nice angles, and it's easy to get the statue looking as if it's standing on the skyline. The clear blue sky helped.

Good photo. Not sure whether there is anything as picturesque within trudging distance of the new Insights site.

msinvisfem reckoned I should have submitted some of my photos of the flooding in the city centre a while back, so when I had a decent picture that was vaguely topical again I thought I'd send it in.

Excellent!
It's been frosty here: no snow, but bloody lethal under foot, and they haven't gritted the pavement on Queen Margaret Drive, so it takes me longer to walk along there than along Byres Road to the University!

No snow in this part of Fife either, despite about four inches at work.

That's a beautiful image. The colour of the poppies is quite striking.

For once I get to make a more positive weather report: here in Brussels it is a bit wet and chilly but there is no snow (that was two weeks ago).

I struck lucky with the poppies; I do see them being red there, but they don't really "pop" for me in the same way they seem to for other people, due to my red/green colour-blindness.

Glad you have the opportunity of enjoying some weather that's merely mediocre!
